West Linn Renovation Project

The West Linn Renovation Project involved a client who had purchased a small acreage with existing four stall barn, arena and home. Upon examination, it was determined that in addition to blocking views from the home, the arena was structurally substandard. The home-built barn was in poor condition, needing extensive renovation, but was in a position on the site that worked with other site elements. It was determined to save the primary structural elements of the barn and rebuild the roof, walls and interior layout. The site was complicated by having 42” of fall in the existing grade from one corner of the barn area to the opposite corner. The new barn floor was designed to accommodate this change. A new outdoor arena was created along with new round pen, fencing, gates, lighting and landscape improvements.
