On this twenty acre site with an existing residence and small barn, farm+ranch Equine Design developed overall site plans locating structures, drives, parking, fencing for paddocks and pastures, and an outdoor arena. The structures are developed with one initial 20 stall barn, the indoor arena with viewing room, and a large storage building being constructed in the first phase with a second 20 stall barn to be constructed in the second phase. farm+ranch Equine Design assisted in obtaining permits and construction bids.

Forward Stride Therapeutic Riding Center, Beaverton, OR

Masterplan development for a 20 acre site to be constructed in phases to accommodate up to 35 horses, staff and clients who participate in various forms of equine assisted therapy. The work by farm+ranch Equine Design included site analysis, working with staff on vision and programming elements for development, development of overall site layout and preliminary grading.  Phase One structures included a 120’ x 240’ WeCover structure to house the arena, stalls, viewing areas and support facilities. We worked with Civil and Structural Engineers to complete approval drawings. farm+ranch Equine Design prepared promotional drawings for fund raising and cost estimates for budgeting approvals and prioritization of donated funds. We also designed landscape plantings, lighting, and site features.

20 Acre Site near Prineville, OR

The client purchased a 23 acre site in the high desert of Central Oregon. The site had an existing home and detached garage but the previous owners had no livestock. The client wanted space for her two mules, hay storage, and parking for two rigs including a LQ horse trailer and smaller horse trailer and trucks. The barn structure has two stalls, a tack/feed room, a breezeway for working on horses or parking, and a 24 x 24 hay barn. I developed a new drive which accesses the hay barn and continues on to a drive through garage for the horse trailers. The new garage has two pull through parking bays with overhead garage doors on each end so that you never have to back up a horse trailer. The garage addition is attached to the existing garage with a breezeway for parking the tractor. From her house, the client can see and easily access the barn and animals.
